The various academic programs are held at Herzog College and are in keeping with the requirements of the Council for Higher Education.

About Herzog College
The Herzog Academic College was founded by the Lifshitz College of Education and Herzog College. This is a religious, academic institution which provides top-class training for future teachers, educators and senior position holders in the education system in Israel and the Diaspora.
Rabbi Eliezer Meir Lifshitz founded the first religious teacher's training seminary in Israel almost 100 years ago in Jerusalem, and 43 years ago the Herzog College was founded in Alon Shvut. These institutions have been training Israel's religious teachers for close to a century.
The College offers a wide range of programs and cutting-edge tracks in accordance with requirements of the Ministry of Education and the Council for Higher Education, with a commitment to religious tenets and academic excellence.
Herzog is now the largest religious academic college in Israel, with 2750 students, 2350 of whom are in undergraduate school and 400 in graduate schools. A further 2000 teachers and educators study in the various professional development tracks.

Throughout the years, Herzog has attracted the brightest students and expert lecturers who are top of their field in academia and religious education. Moreover, the College has a reputation for personal attention and providing a warm atmosphere to enable students to thrive. Faculty members, department heads and administrators have an 'open-door ' policy in keeping with the focus on being available for students.
A survey of graduates from the last three years shows that 57% of graduates are working in education, and an additional 15% are continuing their graduate studies and intend to start their teaching career in a few years. These results are amongst the highest amongst teacher training colleges in Israel.
Herzog College is committed to continually strive to be the best in all aspects and academic excellence is just one example of this. The academic achievements of faculty members are outstanding. In recent years, there has been a steady increase in the number of PhD lecturers whose primary teaching position is in Herzog. Faculty members include teachers and heads of Yeshivot who wish to pass on their experience in Torah studies to the future teachers alongside doctors and professors who are experts in their field. They publish their research in leading academic journals and participate in conferences in Israel and abroad. Prestigious research grants and prizes have been awarded to several faculty members. At Herzog College, academic excellence goes hand-in-hand with caring for students and concern for their needs.
